My Little Miracle Story

Following a successful academic career as a fully trained neuroscientist, my life drastically changed the day I delivered our daughter.

I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia. My blood pressure was sky-high during delivery and the medications were ineffective.

My daughter was taken to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, while I remained in the recovery room for an entire week! I was separated from my daughter and was medically unstable to take care of her. Needless to say, it was the toughest and most emotionally draining week of my life.

But by some miracle, my daughter and I made it out of the hospital unharmed. What I didn’t know back then but realize now, is just how lucky we were…

I am extremely grateful for having survived the delivery, but the trauma stayed with me long afterwards. How did I survive against all odds? Perhaps there is a higher purpose to my life?

In the weeks and months that followed, I began to realize this higher purpose: to boost brain development and help children reach their fullest potential.

I am now on a mission to bring the latest neuroscience research and innovative strategies to parents and educators on the front lines working with children. May this knowledge serve you in shaping the architecture of the growing brain, as we build a better world together for generations to come.
